VARIETY IS THE KEY AT CROFT |
Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th July 2010
BARC National Championship Club Car Meeting The Hampshire-based British Automobile Racing Club Ltd makes another trip North as more top quality car racing heads for Croft Circuit near Darlington next weekend (July 3/4th) with another action packed programme. Following on last weekend's hugely successful visit of the British Touring Car Championship, BARC returns with an eleven-race feast which will be contested around the North's premier racetrack over the two-day meeting which comprises rounds of a number of national as well as local championships. Comprising a variety of sports and saloon car racing as well as single-seaters, Saturday will see the first races of the weekend in the BARC Westfield Sportscar Championship, Kumho BMW, CNC Heads Sports and Saloon Car Championship and the Citroen 2CV Parts.com Championship. All of those classes will be in action on Sunday too where they'll be joined by competitors in the Formula Renault BARC Championship and Chevron GR8 Challenge, with both classes having two races throughout the day. The meeting also incorporates a round of the Darlington & District Motor Club-organised Northern Sports Saloon Championship on Saturday with Darlington's defending champion Paul Moss (Citroen Saxo) tied on points with the BMW M3 of York driver Mike Cutt but Bill Addison from Hutton Rudby is hot on their heels in his Caterham as over 30 drivers battle it out in what will be a hectic race. Qualifying gets underway at 9.30am on Saturday with the first of five races scheduled to start at 14.35 with Sunday's action seeing a further nine races starting at 12.00 noon.
