Croft Circuit welcomes back the British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC) who make another visit to the North Yorkshire track for the Kumho Summer Race Weekend next Saturday and Sunday (11/12 July).
The two-day meeting is a popular fixture on the calendar and will see seven of the Club’s championships in action featuring all types of racing with a wide range of makes and models including Mazda MX5s, MGs and Caterhams taking to the tarmac.
The MG Cockshoot Cup will contest its fourth round of the season at Croft and drivers will battle it out for the honours over two races. The grid brings together a plethora of models from classic MGs to modern machines including MGZRs, Midgets and MGBs and will showcase some close racing action.
The Hickford Construction MG Metro Cup will bring a bit of nostalgia to the line-up. The series features all types of MG Metros and Rover 100 Metros as they go head-to-head twice.

More action comes in the form of the JMRG Caterham Graduates Championship as they contest round four of their season. The championship offers close, competitive racing and operates two main classes with the Sigma 135 featuring cars with the 1600cc Ford Sigma TiVCT engine and the Sigma 150 which features Caterham 310R-spec cars, as well as former Sigmax cars.
There is plenty of Mazda action with three of the marque’s championships on track at Croft.
The AD Modular Mazda MX5 Championship heads north for round four of the campaign while the Kumho Tyre Mazda MX5 Clubman championship is a similar series but operates over a one-day format to bring costs down.

The Clapham North MOT Mazda MX5 Supercup sees drivers in the powerful 2.0-litre Mk3 MX5 against each other with the two-class structure consisting of a Pro class for drivers looking for a higher level of competition, and a Club class for drivers wishing to race with less pressure.
Rounding-up the action is the Nankang Tyre CityCar Cup Championship: a cost-effective grass roots saloon car circuit racing series featuring popular one-litre, three door models while the series also accommodates the Student Motorsport competition. This is an intra-championship contest where college and university teams build and race CityCar Cup cars in the main series while competing with each other for special awards.
Track activity gets underway at 9.30am on Saturday with practice and qualifying before the first of eight races starting at 14.05. Action on Sunday is from 12.00 noon with the first of a further ten races.
Advance adult admission is just £18 per person on both days or £20 each on the gate. Accompanied children aged 15 and under are admitted free, with free car parking, while Croft’s welcoming Hangar 50 Café will be open for all each day. There are other catering outlets open throughout the weekend around the circuit.
