Croft Circuit welcomes the biggest meeting of the season when rounds 22, 23 & 24 of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship take place at the North Yorkshire circuit next weekend (5/6 September).
Two days of top-class, wheel-to-wheel action gets underway on Saturday when the UK’s leading car series heads north following the previous round at Donington Park last weekend.
Four-time champion Ash Sutton comes into the meeting with a comfortable advantage of 98 points at the top of the Drivers’ standings after claiming runner-up spot twice in his NAPA Racing UK Ford Focus Titanium at Donington.
Reigning champion Tom Ingram occupies second place in the championship in the Team VERTU Hyundai i30N after securing just two victories so far this season and will be looking to get back on track this weekend.
Yorkshireman Dan Cammish heads to his home track in third. The NAPA Racing UK driver from Leeds made it onto the top step of the podium in race two at Donington Park and will be hoping to add more points at his home circuit. Fellow Yorkshireman Daniel Lloyd is a welcome addition back in the championship as the Huddersfield driver contests a second meeting back in the Restart Racing Hyundai.
In addition to the three BTCC races on Sunday afternoon, Saturday sees the new-for-2026 ‘Race to Pole’ qualifying race. Also fans will have the chance to get autographs and photographs with the stars of the BTCC on Sunday morning when a pitlane walkabout takes place at 10.30am.
There will also be several support series battling it out across the two days alongside the headline BTCC races, many featuring local teams and drivers.
The Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup Great Britain sees Scorton’s Max Coates hoping for glory at a track he knows well, whilst the Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge Great Britain sees three local drivers in the shape of Northallerton’s Ethan Hammerton, Gracie Mitchell from Yarm and Stockton-on-Tees driver Mike McKenzie in action.
There are also races for the Mairon Motorsport MINI CHALLENGE Trophy and Wera Tools F4 British Championship certified by FIA over both days, meaning a total of 14 races over the course of the weekend.
On Saturday the track action will start at 9.30am with qualifying followed by the first of five races at 12.35. Sunday will get underway following the pitlane walkabout with the first of the three, 15-lap BTCC races at 12.10pm and a full afternoon programme of racing totalling nine races.
Croft’s welcoming Hangar50 café will be open to the public on Saturday and there are other catering outlets open throughout the weekend around the circuit. Additionally, there will be off-track entertainment for the whole family in the Exhibitor Zone near the Complex as well as an array of trade and merchandise stands.
Adult admission prices are £25 for Saturday, £39 for Sunday and £60 for a weekend ticket. Tickets for 13 to 15-year-olds are priced at £12 on Saturday, £15 for Sunday or £20 for a weekend ticket and all accompanied children aged 12 and under go free. Parking and paddock access is free too and limited-edition souvenir programmes are on sale at £7. Seating for the grandstand has sold out for Sunday.
